Hollywood Gossip | What the stars of Machete are saying about co-star Lindsay Lohan

I find a lot of what celebrities say about others to either be unfounded and thinly veiled jealousy or embarrassing brown nosing, but I have to admit that I was still interested to see what the cast of MACHETE had to say about their headline grabbing costar, Lindsay Lohan.

Says director Robert Rodriguez, "She's awesome in the movie. That's what they'll see: the actress behind all that paparazzi nonsense that follows her and won't leave her alone. They'll get to see her and say, 'Oh, that's why we follow her around.' "

Lead hottie in the movie, Jessica Alba, was to the point. Says the actress, "She's so good in this movie. I can't wait for people to see [her in] it."

Probably one of the most heartfelt comments came from tough girl Michelle Rodriguez, well known for her own public substance abuse conviction. "I just think everybody should have in mind that when you wish the best for people around you, it only makes your country, your society, your culture better," she explained. "So I think that we should all just respect the evolutionary paths of people and as much as we possibly can wish for the better, for light."

I'm not totally sure where these comments are coming from, whether they've been preprogrammed into the cast or if they're more sincere, but it was still interesting to me nevertheless.
